Our Leather Scale armour consists of hundreds of small, curcular leather (rawhide), plates which overlap each other to provide a solid yet lightweight defence for the entire torso, shoulders and top of the upper arm. 

This type of armour has been used since antiquity across many cultures. It was made from a variery of materials includng various metals, wood and leather. This particular style is quite generic and can be used by most European and Near-East impressions over this period.

Our Lord of Battles scale body armour is made from 4mm thick leather sections. On most of the surface area (due to the overlapping scales) the protection afforded is over 1cm deep. It weighs about 4 kgs. The side straps make this armour adjustable for most body sizes.
