Based on belts used in the 15th century in Europe and the British Isles, this sturdy belt is made from 3mm thick red vegetable tanned leather and has a total length of 178 cm.
Vegetable tan is a more traditional, and enviromentally friendly method than the modern chrome tanned leather. It also has greater durability and colour retention than chrome tanned.
