We often get inquiries about getting a customer's own design engraved onto one of our plain horns.
We have suggested that or a single horn that you buy one of the plain horns and then take it and your design down to a local engraver to engrave for you.
However, we can now offer a laser engraving service for large orders (5 horns or more). Laser engraved designs can be placed on a flat part of the horn - usually laterally near the rim. If the engraving is across the face of the horn then the curvature can seriously distort the design.
This service is aimed at sport and hobby groupsm businesses and any other organisation who wants a specially designed engraving. The cost of the engraving is typically $20 - $30 on top of the base price of the horn depending on the complexity of the design anf the number of horns ordered with more horns reducing the overall price. The logo on the photo cost an $20 to engrave on each of the 45 horns in this order.
The process for this service is:
-- Contact me (callum@jousting.co.nz). Please send type of horn and quantity along with the design you want.
-- I will contact my engraver to see if the design is feasible and to get a total cost for the engraving service.
-- If you want a prototype horn made we can do this at your cost.
-- Once payment for the total number of horns plus engraving (I will pay the engraver), the engraving process starts. Please allow a minimum of 1 - 2 weeks from the payment of the order to delivery.
