This is a fine reproduction of a generic powder horn that is suitable as a functional or decorative accessory for any period from the 1600's up until almost the modern day.
It is made from a domestic cow horn and comes with a brass screw-on stopper operhas carved on decorations along with leather carrying strap.
While these are functional, the horn needs to be filled some the small opening at the end (about 5mm or 6mm round hole) so care would be required to do this. However, this is how the original powder horns were also filled.
