Swords and Weapons Information

All our weapons - swords, axes, maces, etc. are functional weapons and will cause injury if misused. Treat them and your training partners with respect at all times.

We provide two types of Functional Swords:

PREMIUM GRADE - A new range currently being introduced by Lord of Battles. As of April 2026, this has just been released and we will be adding these new swords to our range as they become available. These are made from tempered EN95 Carbon Steel which is ideal for stage combat, light fencing, and historical display.

EN95 is It is widely favored for knives, swords, and cutting tools due to its excellent edge retention, ease of sharpening, and high hardness (55-58+ HRC). 1095 is not stainless, requiring maintenance to prevent rust, and is popular in bushcraft, EDC knives, and military-style blades.

FUNCTIONAL GRADE - Made from EN45 Carbon Seel, these swords are ideal for battle reneactment or historical sword fighting.

EN45 steel is a strong spring alloy steel known for its high carbon content, often used in sword making. It is valued for its toughness and resistence to deformation under impact. It is the de facto standard for battle reenactment throughout the world.

Our Other Weapons

These are all made from EN45 Carbon Steel so are also ideal for battle reneactment or historical sword fighting.

All of the axe heads are partially sharpened so you can either dull them for battle re-enactment or hone them further to use as target throwers or for woodcrafting projects.

The handles are made from either Teak or Ash. Teak is a hard wood note for its strength. Ash is a slightly lighter wood but still retains geat stength. It was the most common handle used in Viking and Medieval Times.
