Yes to most forms. Our helmets are made from either 1.6mm or 2.0mm mild steel. 1.6mm is considered to be the minimum thickness for metal weapons combat and is still the standard for non-head blow or controlled head blow combat. For most heavier style battle reenactment activities such as jousting and full head blow style combat we recommend 2.0 mm steel.
Our items of Plate Armour are made from 1.6mm steel unless otherwise stated.
Check the armour rules for your club before purchasing if you are unsure.
For people doing "Bohurt" style combat, thicker steel is required in your rules so we would not recommend any of our helmets or items of plate armour for this style of combat. However, people use our riveted maille and some of our brigadine armour for Bohurt.
Again check the armour rules for Bohurt as they are quite strict. Bottom line is that most of our products aren;t suitable.
We can also provide most of our helmets in thinner 1.2mm or 1.0 mm steel, We do not recommend either for martial arts training or battle re-enactment but they are ideal for collectors, LARP, film and theatrical use. We don't tend to stock these so contact us if you are interested in one of these thinner helmets.
All of our helmets come with a leather suspension style liner which you will need to adjust one you receive yours. There is enough room inside our helmets to accommodate an arming cap and a maille coif.
Some of our customers remove the liner and replace it with a padded one (which they make themselves) for a more period solution.
We and can also provide a wooden stand to display your helmet and protect it when not in use.
Our helmets are either 68 cm or 72 cm depending on the type. These sizes will fit 90% of all head sizes. all rzlee6le
Our body armour comes in several generic sizes and sizing charts are provided in each listing.
Our plate armour for limbs and hands is made in one size which will most most people with not much more than minor adjustments.
