This is a unique handcrafted item that is suitable for any historical period and has a mulitude of uses for storing very small items such as small needles, powders, thread, pills, etc.
The body of the container is made from polished horn from domestic cattle. It is about 7 or 8 cm long and about 2 cm wide.
The stopper is made from wood that has a screwed thread that screws into the wooden opening of the container.
