This is a beautiful brass buckle forged like a flower that can fit into a 2 mm strap. These kinds of buckles were prevalent during the late medieval period and are ideal for DIY Belt projects, bags, shields, etc.
(I use a pair of them on my jousting shield and they are strong enough to take the big hits!)
