Product Details
This Drinking Horn with Leather Holder is crafted from genuine, ethically sourced cow horn and shaped by hand. Horn is a natural material, so all of these are different with its own grain, color flow, and pattern formed by nature. No two horns are the same.
In Viking and Norse times, horn was widely used for drinking vessels because it was easy to get, strong, and could be used for food and drink. Horn did not affect taste and could be shaped by hand. Archaeological finds across Scandinavia show that horn vessels were common in daily life, feasts, and ceremonies.
This horn has a natural engraved detailing that follows the curve of the horn, giving it a bold look. The base has a lightweight aluminum tip that is rust-resistant and helps protect the horn while keeping the weight low.
The drinking horn is paired with a genuine leather holder for practical use. The leather wrap secures the horn tightly from a lace cord and includes belt loops, so that you can hang it comfortably from your belt during events or travel.
This Drinking Horn with Leather Holder works perfectly as a drinking horn for mead, ale, cider, or other cold and room-temperature drinks. It is ideal for Viking and Medieval events, LARP, medieval fairs or decorative display.
Hot liquids are not recommended. Heat can cause horn to warp, crack, or develop surface changes because horn is an organic material.
Capacity: Approx. 250 ml – 350 ml (varies naturally)
