Product Details

Winged spearheads, also known as lugged spears, appeared in Europe during the Early Middle Ages, particularly from the 8th to 11th centuries. They were common in various regions, including France, Germany, and Italy, with archaeological finds extending as far north as Norway and east to Poland.

Crafted from the finest high-carbon steel, this spearhead boasts unrivaled durability and sharpness, perfect for both thrusting maneuvers and ceremonial displays. Measuring an impressive 30 cm in length, the aerodynamic design minimizes drag, enabling speed and efficiency during use.

The winged design serves a functional purpose. Each wing is meticulously engineered to maximize stability while ensuring superior penetration on impact. It also stopped the spear from over-pentration. Because of this it was also used in hunting.

The Winged Spearhead can be easily fitted to a variety of spear shafts allowing you to create a personalized spear that matches your specific preferences. Tailoring your spear for different activities—from martial arts practice to reenactments.

To take care of your spearhead we recommend wiping it down with lanolin or a beeswax/olive oil mix after each use. It should be stored with some protective cover like an old sock in a dry environment between use.
