Product Details

A pair of sturdy leather vambraces for protection of the lower arms. The term "vambrace" first appeared in the 14th century to describe forearm armour made from either boiled leather or steel. Because of the simple construction and ready access to leather, it is not unreasonable to assume that they were also in use for many centuries beforehand.

The vambraces are made from approximately 3.3mm thick leather and each come with a 3.5mm diameter length of the round leather cord to secure to the forearm.  The untied flat vambrace is approximately 24 cm wide and 23 cm long and each comes with 5 punched holes on each side. Approximate weight is 260 grams.

Available in brown leather.
