Product Details

The padded greave can be worn as a standalone item of armour for any period or applciation. It be worn under loose clothing or under maille or plate lower leg armour.

We find in mounted reenactment combat or in mass foot combat that the lower legs are vulnerable and the padded greave helps to mitigate all but the strongest blows.

The greaves are contracted in the same way as our gambesons with 3 layers of cotton batting sandwiched between an inner and outer later of cotton.
