Product Details

Leather brigadine gorgets were a transitional type of armour that bridged the period between mail coifs and aventails and full steel plate gorgets. They were also a cheaper alternative to the full steel ones so were used well into the 16th century.

Steel plates are riveted to the underside of the 3mm thick top grain leather liner and the standing leather collar provides protection to the throat and base of the neck.
