Made to protect the lower arms, this armour is designed as a part of the Milanese style harness and are made in accordance to the original medieval design. They are ideal to be used in the combat, with chainmail or with any other armour. There is a big and well shaped leaf for elbow protection and for better flexibility. Produced in Italy throughout the 15th century, armour of this type incorporates large and smooth glancing surfaces in its construction, the theory being that these rounded surfaces would help to deflect an opponents weapon.
The late 14th / early 15th century arm armour is handcrafted from 16mm mild steel with authentic brass buckles.
