Bazubands originated in Asia Minor during the 12th - 14th centuries. They were specifically designed to protect the lower arm from wrist to the elbow. They are also known as naruchi (Russia and Eastern Europe) and Dastana (India). As they were very functional items of armour, they were also adopted by European crusaders and made their way to Western Europe.

They were made from a variety of materials incuding iron and leather.

This pair of Bazubands are handcrafted from leather. They are robust so will last a long time.They are designed to fit a wide range of lower arms sizes and come with a set of adjustable leather cords. Each bracer has a length of approximately 37 cm, the upper end is approximately. 31 cm wide and the lower end approximately 22 cm.
