Product Details

These demi-cuisses and demi-greaves joined with winged polyn are made from 16 guage steel and are suitable for most forms of re-enactment combat.

During the Middle Age, not everyone could afford full plate leg armour. Archers, billmen, spearmen and most other footsoldier had to do with simpler poleyns covering only the knee and a bit of the upper and lower leg around the knee. They were lighter than a full leg harness and obviously far less expensive.  But on the other hand they were not offering the same level of protection as a pair of full legs.

Ours are finely crafted by Lord of Battles and have two straps to secure the armour to the upper and lower legs.

They can be worn over our padded leggings. If you are wearing them over thinner leggings, then we recommend that you add some padding to the inside of the upper and lower demigreaves for a more secure and comfortable fit.
