Maximilian is the style of early 16th century German armour possibly made for the Emperor Maximilian. The style is defined by its plain steel construction with many decorative flutings which helped deflect attacks from cuts and thrusts. It is a transitional stage of armour btween the late medieval and Renaissance periods.

Our pair of Maximillian gauntlets come in a mitten style with multiple articulated plates to enhance mobility for your hands while providing the maximum amount of protection. They are lined with soft  leather suede gloves.

They are made from 16 gauge (1.6mm) mild steel. The total length of one gauntlet is approx. 35 cm (from the tip of the middle finger to the lowermost tip of this gauntlet).

Price is indicative and includes GST and tracked postage within New Zealand.
