Product Details
14th Century Bascinet Helmet without visor. It was used by archers and other troops who wanted good protection along with good vision. The good visiion is a trade off for face protection.
It was also worn by knights under a great helm which would be removed during close quarter combat for greater visibility or under a great helm during the joust with the dual helmet combination providing great protection against a lance hit.
Made from 1.6 mm mild steel in 68 cm head circumference.
The helmet comes with a sewn in non-adjustible padded liner and vervailles to mount a maille aventail.
