Product Details

These histoically inspired gauntlets appeared at the end of the age of full maille armour (late 13th - early 14th centuries) and were one of the first separate gloved protections that evolved from the integral mail mittens that were part of a hauberk. If you are portraying a late 13th or early 14th century knight or well equipped man-at-arms then these gauntlets are ideal.

They are made from suede leather gloves backed with 6mm diameter riveted mild steel links that cover the entire back of the gauntlet in the standard 4-1 pattern. The maille has a blackened finish.

The small size of the links provides a great deal of protection so they are ideal for most forms of re-enactment combat or HEMA styles.

They come in one generic size only, that should fit most people.

Price includes GST and tracked shipping within New Zealand.
