Product Details

Simple 1-piece pauldrons appeared in the early/mid 14th century as a response to improved weapons that exposed the vulnerablities of maille armour - especially around the joints. Pauldrons were first forged from a single piece of steel to cover the points of the shoulders.

Our pair of simple pauldrons are made from 16 g mild steel and have two holes to lace them to your maille or gambeson using arming points/aiglets. They also have black leather edging to provide a bit of decoration.
